Rhonda Radford-Adams RHONDA RADFORD ADAMS Healing Artist & Designer "My art is a reflection of my life's experiences through color, form and movement. I am committed to embrace opportunities to create and to share that experience with others.” says Rhonda Adams. She refers to this unique style as Feel-anthropy...Using creativity to inspire and encourage healthy living! Rhonda is a native Houstonian and life-trained artist. Her latest body of work is known as the ARTRRA Collection, a series of art inspired mantras brought to life in the original and published works of Rhonda Radford Adams. Acquainted with working in a variety of mix media such as fabric designs, mosaic tile designs, painting, and hand-made wallpaper, Rhonda has published several of her original art works, in public and private collections nationally an internationally . From the bold and rhythmic patterns of West African fabrics to the fine handmade papers of Japan, much of Rhonda’s creativity is inspired by her travels. Having traveled to more than 13 countries, Rhonda believes that each destination brings a powerful opportunity to create healing art experiences with others around the world. By 2000, Rhonda’s passion for promoting social wellness through community creativity lead to the collective vision with husband and creative partner Reginald C. Adams, as co-founders for The Museum of Cultural Arts Houston (MOCAH). Included in the MOCAH family of programs, Rhonda also served as director for the Art Angels Healing Arts Program, that provided art as a tool to promote social wellness. Rhonda has worked extensively with community based service organizations, hospitals and schools to provide opportunities for creative interactions with many. Rhonda is a member of the Rotary Club of Houston. She was also recognized as Houston's 25 Most Influential Women - 2007 ;received The Sunstar Butler Award in 2008 ; and was Artist of the Year 2001 for Texas Children’s Making a Mark Exhibit. In her personal time Rhonda enjoys yoga, outdoor activities, Salsa dancing, traveling and spending quality time with her husband and their 15-year-old son and musician Jahlani C. Adams.
